i like this for working , not for sleeping

This program is a good one, with several dozen sound recordings good as background sounds. There are some drawbacks, however: 1. It is impossible to minimise the program icon to the menu bar only. One more icon will be stuck in the Dock. 2. The menu bar icon is of bright orange colour, which is rather distracting, and not at all harmonious with the rest of black and white icons. 3. The interface is pretty clear, but could be improved. The window is impossible to maximise — it will just take about 70% of the screen, which makes you scroll longer.

Great app! Pleasing soundscapes. Interface includes Favorites feature — you can select those items you like better and get their list. Ive searched for an app like Aire Freshener (windows program), but for Mac. This app is good enough, but it lacks sounds combining. Give it 5 stars, because its one of the best by now.

Very simple app with friendly interface and it works perfectly! I used it always to sleep in my noisy dorm and for work as well.

Wonderful app! User-friendly interface, stylish design and a variety of sounds. Except, I am not sure in which situation one may need to consistently listen to the sound of a hoover or white noise (which I personally find quite annoying). Anyway, I use the app almost every day and highly recommend it to anyone who feels a little uncomfortable in complete silence.

I use this application when i’m doing homework. I also use it as an alarm, but some of the sounds, sound artificial.

I enjoy this app as background noise when I need focus or need to disconnect. Great for meditation and sleep and work. Love the alarm feature.

Wonderful wonderful

Did any of the sound designers consider making these sounds actually relaxing? The sound effects cycle so fast and so loud that it’s impossible to relax to. Yes, seagulls are part of an ocean soundscape. But you don’t lay on a beach and relax to a swarm of seagulls screeching in your ear. SLOW DOWN. This is coming from someone who listens to noise for fun. Every single one of these themes is a chaotic mess that makes you more antsy than you were when you sat down. Please get a clue.

Ive downloaded quite of few of these apps and, so far, this is the best Ive found. The soundscapes are the high quality, well balanced and realistic. I dig it.

My family is hooked on sound machines or fans when sleeping. I purchased this app and while the selection of sounds is large, I personally don’t find many that are what I’m looking for. I wanted wide variations of steady white noises, but instead got washing machines, horses, birds, etc. This app isn’t horrible and provides a large array of sounds that might please you, but I’ve looked elsewhere to satisfy my needs. If you want variety of steady white noise, waterfalls or along that line than I recommend Noise Machine as it fits the bill.

i like the noises, but what really makes sleep pillow sounds amazing is that you can combine multiple noises together which you cannot do on this app. But the noises sound very realistic so i do like that a lot. If you can get the sleep pillow sounds available for iphones and iPads get that because the mix feature really allows you to get your perfect falling asleep sound like you get in very expensive white noise machines.

My boyfriend has lived in the city forever. Sometimes when its still, he needs white noise to sleep. Sleep pillow makes that happen. My only issue with it is that it stops when I put my screen to sleep.

This is the best designed and functioning app for background sounds in the app store. I find it invaluable for getting to sleep as well as for having calming background sound while I work. Second to none.
